I’m just a regular guy with a passion for making someone’s day just a little better - through fantastic coffee, uplifting quotes, interesting photos, short stories, and what I consider to be great music - Boomer style. 

Born in 1961, in Washington D.C., I may be considered by some to be “advanced in age” but I would argue that I’m only as advanced as the people I surround myself with. 

As you probably assumed (correctly) I live in Florida now because anyone older than sixty moves here. In my case, my two daughters convinced me to come down several years ago to be closer to them, which made me feel rather special at the time. In hindsight I believe their master plan was to bring me here so they would have a free dog and/or babysitter and someone to pay for their pizza. Regardless, I’m trying to make the best of the situation but it’s not always so easy living close to the beach with near perfect weather most times.

My boy stayed up north to work on his golf game, his career, and to please his wife. It never crosses his mind to call me every once in a while to see how I’m doing but I guess there’s something about the famous song lyrics “the boy is just like me” that hits home - so I don’t complain often. I also have a great son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and a very cool grandson who is always the life of the party.
